A fire escape plan worksheet Keep things simple by using a fire escape plan worksheet like this one.

Preparation is the biggest component to optimizing your family’s safety during a fire emergency. Here are some simple ways the Red Cross recommends you can diligently prepare for a fire emergency:

Install Smoke Alarms- Smoke alarms should be installed inside every room on every level of your home. Always test your smoke alarms monthly and change the batteries if they are not working.

Create a Fire Escape Plan- Ideally, there should be two routes out of every room in your home. Decide on one meeting point for once everyone is out. It should take less than two minutes for each person to get to safety. Practice this escape plan at least twice a year.

“Get out, stay out, and call for help.”- Never go back inside for anyone or anything.

Once everyone is safe and the fire has been extinguished. Call SERVPRO of Vero Beach. Our team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are here to help!
